Douglas Allen vice president douglas AT ptallen DOT com
In his free time Douglas most enjoys spending time on bike rides with his kids, Zuvuya and Luda, writing music, and harvesting and eating local food. Douglas works on location and lives in Ann Arbor.
Studying Sustainability and Community Development at The Evergreen State College, Douglas came back to his hometown in 2004 to integrate socially and ecologically-sustainable best-practices into Peter Allen & Associates already progressive approach to real estate development and management. Douglas views business through the lens of what's good for the environment is good for the community, and what's good for the community is good for business. While not researching future projects, Douglas manages and leases all of Peter Allen & Associates properties, serves as its in-house green consultant, as well as lead representation for brokerage clients seeking to lease office space in Ann Arbor. See Peter Allen & Associates available locations or contact us with any inquires you may have.
On behalf of Peter Allen & Associates, Douglas is an advocate for the "more-sustainable" development of Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County. This includes attending meetings and standing on committees that seek to make Ann Arbor a genuinely unique place to live and work, one which values its young people, its built and natural environment, and is a leader in Michigan and the world for reducing our carbon footprint. All while having fun doing it! Douglas has recently served as chairman for a committee, appointed by The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners, mandated to create best practices for Land Planning and Housing in Washtenaw County. Douglas has been the Employee of the Year the last three years running.
