Brief History
With 33 years experience as an Ann Arbor area real estate real estate developer, consultant & U of M educator,
Peter has pioneered, enlightened, and developed properites in the Ann Arbor area, brokered or leased major properties
in the Ann Arbor area, mostly commercial downtown riverfront rehabs, including the Broadway Village at Lowertown, a
$140 million mixed use brownfield redevelopment next to the U of M Medical Campus.
Appointments and Board Memberships.
As an adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan and a working real estate professional,
Peter has a unique perspective on the real estate investment trust boards on which he sits. Additionally,
Peter has chaired or founded numerous local and regional conferences highlighting public policy issues relating to
development and the local quality of life.
• University of Michigan School of Architecture & Planning & Stephan Ross School of Business: Adjunct Faculty, 50 %
appointment: Focus on teaching the elements of developing existing downtown to over 3000 graduate students
since 1981
• University of Michigan Real Estate Forum:Founder and Executive Director for its first 10 years.
Found in 1986 this forum has become a preeminent Midwest gathering of real estate professionals meeting yearly to
discuss emerging trends and regional opportunities.
• New York City, a $104 million retail REIT: Board of Directors
• Centerline Capital Group (CHC) : a $3.5 billion Stephan Ross real estate REIT traded on the New York Stock Exchange. 1997 - 2007 Audit & Comp. Committees.
Civic Involvement
Peter believes it is important to stay involved in the local community, and he finds that these memberships
serve a vital role in the City of Ann Arbor.
